Turbidity curtains are designed to control the settling of solids (silt) suspended in water by providing a controlled area of containment. This condition of suspension (turbidity) is usually created by disrupting natural conditions through shoreline construction or dredging in a marine environment.

In essence, a turbidity curtain is a floating silt fence. The containment of suspended solids is desirable to reduce the impact to water quality and to marine life.

BMP Installs uses 2 types of Turbidity Curtains.

1. The BMP Modular Turbidity Curtain is a reusable curtain that can be dismantled and resized just by adding or reducing the number of sections. This Modular Curtain is intended for smaller applications.

2. For large and single use applications, BMP will have your curtain custom made.

BMP Installs will prepare quotes for supply and install based on total length and depth of your Turbidity Curtain.
Additional costs may be applied for extreme installation situations (ie: boat accessibility, shoreline stability, water flow).
